Brazil’s Leo Leite is yet another last minute absence for the 2013 ADCC.
Only three days before the event, the two-time Jiu-Jitsu world champion explained in his Facebook account why he is out: “Unfortunately I won’t be able to compete in the ADCC this time. This week I suffered a cut to my chin and had to get 5 stitches. Therefore I won’t have enough time to heal it completely until the fights in Beijing. Other than that, I have my third MMA fight already scheduled for November 1.”
Leo Leite had himself stepped in for another injured fighter in the +99kg division.
He was replacing fellow Alliance member, Bernanrdo Faria, out with a injured knee.
Leite closed his message saying he wishes to have another shot at the ADCC: “It’s a dream of mine to compete in the ADCC and I hope I can fulfill it someday.”
