GFTeam black belt, Gabriel Kitober won the most disputed gold medal at the Houston Open Jiu-Jitsu tournament held by the IBJJF last weekend. Kitober won the absolute, but got silver at the ultra heavyweight division in which Bruno Bastos was 1st place.

In the dispute for teams, Bastos celebrated as well. His young team, one of the strongest in the competitions in Texas, was second overall, losing only to Gracie Barra. The GFTeam ended up in third place.

Between the females, the highlight was the lightweight Fabiana Borges (GB), which won the absolute. The featherweight Kiri Liao (Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu) was the runner-up.

The IBJJF tournament had other highlights such as Justin Rader, featherweight champion, the GFTeam Vitor beast Vitor Oliveira, middle weight champion and silver in the absolute, Ignatius Neto (light heavyweight), Diego Gamonal (heavy) and the absolute brown belt champion, Peter Lucas Araujo from Gracie Barra.
