The first semifinalists have been defined for the Strikeforce heavyweight GP that has peaked the interest of MMA fans and which readers can follow here on GRACIEMAG.com.
Sergei Kharitonov and Antonio Bigfoot are already through, with wins over Andrei Arlovski and Fedor Emelianenko, respectively. While the former awaits the result of the Josh Barnett-Brett Rogers fight, Bigfoot faces the winner of the rematch between Fabrício Werdum and Alistair Overeem.
For the April fight against Overeem in particular, Fabrício Werdum is already hard at work preparing. Known as one of those who best uses Jiu-Jitsu in the scope of MMA, the black belt made the most of a stop-through in Manhattan to polish up his ground game with Renzo Gracie in Manhattan and forewarns: “I’m going to win this fight.”
