After more than fifty years of Jiu-Jitsu, Professor Oswaldo “Paquetá” da Rosa, Carlson Gracie’s trusted sidekick, is ready to take on an important battle. At 72 years of age, the master is getting ready to face bypass surgery next week, following a heart attack he suffered on April 30.
“He is doing well and is lucid. What we ask now is that students and friends be patient, as he has been getting very emotional about the visits he has received at the hospital, and that is harmful to his health,” his wife, Marlene, told GRACIEMAG.com this Wednesday. Only his family may visit him, for his well-being.
