Isaque Paiva wins gold at the Floripa Open. Carlos Arthur Jr.
Held last weekend, the Floripa Open gathered a bunch of crack BJJ fighters, each one eyeing the gold and some points in the IBJJF rankings. Among them was Isaque Paiva; the Saikoo representative took part in the featherweight tournament and got the best of Eduardo Botega (Zenith) in the final.
Botega did a good job, sweeping and raiding Isaque’s guard. However, after sweeping back from the closed guard already on the mount, Isaque managed to slip to the back and finish with a collar grip. You can see it all in this video.
