On a night of plenty of work for the judges, with eight out of 13 fights ending in decisions, one Brazilian fighter was the exception as he performed a beautiful submission. At UFC 225, held this Saturday in Chicago, Charles do Bronx displayed the power of his BJJ against the veteran Clay Guida.
Having had little more than a week’s time to prepare for the bout, do Bronx went after Guida regardless. After they traded strikes standing, do Bronx foiled a takedown attempt with a swift play as he passed his arm around the American’s neck and went to the ground with the guillotine already locked in place, leaving no room for defense. Guida was forced to tap out just after the two-minute mark.
