A BJJ star in ascension in MMA, Rodolfo Vieira had another bout this Saturday. At ACB 88 in Australia, Rodolfo faced Jacob Holyman-Tague in a middleweight match and nearly saw his undefeated record go down the tubes right away.
Even being a strong ground player, Holyman-Tague didn’t want to accept a jiu-jitsu confrontation. Before taking the fight to the ground, Rodolfo invested in striking. But as he attempted a leg attack, the Brazilian got dealt a powerful knee strike. An unwavering Rodolfo continued in his mission, though — he made a few attempts before stabilizing his opponent on the ground, and worked until reaching the back and finishing via rear naked choke.
