We’re two days away from the start of the 2019 ADCC Words. So this Thursday the Graciemag team dug deep to retrieve a piece of grappling history.
Twenty years ago, at Jardim Guanabara Yacht Club in Rio de Janeiro, trials were taking place for ADCC 1999 — the second edition of the event created by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed. Fighters from all gyms were vying for a ticket to Abu Dhabi, leading to some great encounters. Paulão Filho and Fernando Margarida ended up clashing for one of the spots. Master Osvaldo Paquetá was, as usual, present with his camera.
