Gracie Barra New Mexico sent in the following bulletin regarding World Pro East Coast trials winner Tammy Griego:
Over the Weekend our own Tammy Griego won the Abu Dhabi Pro GI trials in Florida. Winning this tournament has given Tammy full Sponsorship to compete in the Abu Dhabi Pro World Cup which will be held April 15, 16, and 17 in Abu Dhabi. She will now compete with the best jiu jitsu fighters in the world for $5,500 in prize money.
In Addition to winning the trials Professor Tussa awarded Tammy with her Brown Belt. In a very emotional ceremony Professor Tussa saw no reason to hold Tammy at the rank of purple belt. During her career as purple belt Tammy won the Worlds, Pan Ams, her first MMA fight, and now the Abu Dhabi Pro Trials which is a Black Belt tournament. Congratulations Tammy and good luck!
