The USA’s Dean Lister, a former UFC fighter, has always been a force at the ADCC with his deadly foot attacks. After winning the 2003 installment of the event, in Brazil, Lister got the best of Jean-Jacques Machado at their subsequent supermatch in 2005. And the black belt came up spades again this year, winning his division in England, leaving favorites like Rodolfo Vieira and João Assis in his wake – both succumbing to his foot attacks.
