At the GBCompnet 13 tournament, the Gracie Barra Association hosted a graduation ceremony for instructors who completed the III Certification Program. Coaches and professors flew in from all over the country to receive their certificates.
The ceremony started with a speech from Professor Marcio Feitosa about the importance of ”GB instructors using the same methods and embracing the challenge of teaching Jiu-Jitsu for everyone”. Professor Flavio Almeida then explained how important the certification was in making sure GB students from all over the world are experiencing the highest level of Jiu-Jitsu instruction and training. Nearly 200 instructors from the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, USA, England, and France graduated from the Gracie Barra’s 3rd Instructors Certification Program.
The certificates are valid until March 2013 and ensure that all of these instructor’s have been aligned with the teaching methods of Carlos Gracie Jr. Instructors who did not attend the graduation ceremony will receive the certificate in the mail.
