Our GMA Fabio Holanda is a Jiu-Jitsu professor who’s been plying his trade in Canada for some time now, even offering GRACIEMAG magazine to his students and helping the art to find its feet there.
The Jiu-Jitsu black belt also puts together qualifying tournaments for competitors seeking glory (and prize money) by winning in Abu Dhabi, and anyone in Brazil wanting to get in on the excitement has until September 5 to sign-up for the Natal leg of the WPJJC-qualifying tournaments.
The competition will take place September 15 and 16. At stake are 17 berths at the April main tournament in Abu Dhabi. With prize money totaling 50,000 dollars, the event is sure to again gather the cream of the world Jiu-Jitsu crop.
The Fabio Holanda-organized event will take place at Nélio Dias Gymnasium in Natal, the capital of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte.
