Brazilian promotion Mega Kombat announced a few changes to the card for their July 24 event to be held in Governador Valadares, a town in the state of Minas Gerais. Three athletes are out due to injury, but the organization already had substitutes up their sleeve, which now adds an international flavor to the show.
Nova União’s Francimar Bodão now faces an Argentine fighter, whose name will be released shortly. Pedrinho Nobre, of the BTT, will face off with Peru’s Jerry Tolentino, who, recently starred in the fight of the night, having won his bout at Brazilian event Memorial Fight. Now Junior PQD will face another up-and-comer from Nova União, the hard-nosed Jamil Silveira.
“Unfortunately these things happen. Edgar Casteldi, for instance, would have faced Bodão but was run over while riding his bicycle. He’s fine, but has a twisted ankle. What’s important is that we come up with a quality substitute,” remarks promoter Sérgio Babu.
Tickets are on sale at By Fiapo shops for R$ 40 for bleacher seats and R$ 80 for VIP seating.
