Our GMA Milton Regis, of Kioto BJJ, had a very special evening last July 11th.
After much hard work, the professor received the 4th stripe on his black belt from the IBJJF.
The promotion was celebrated with a dinner, when Grandmaster Francisco Mansor fastened the new belt arround Regis’ waist.
Milton wrote about the achievement:
“In 1971, when a little boy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, went to attend his first class of Jiu-Jitsu, he couldn’t imagine where his father was taking him . This skinny 9-year-old boy, a student of Grandmaster Mansor, won many medals becoming a state and national champion and sometimes receiving a gold medal from the special hands of Grandmaster Helio Gracie. This boy became a man and now, after 39 years of experience and dedication, fighting and organizing tournaments, professor Milton Regis or Miltao (as his friends like to call him), received from the IBJJF ( International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation) and the USBJJF (United State Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation) the 4th degree in his black belt.”
