With a keen eye on the Anderson Silva-Chael Sonnen fight this Saturday, UFC middleweight Vitor Belfort, a die-hard fan of Brazilian soccer club Flamengo, visited the team this Tuesday, as reported by the Flamengo.com.br website.
Once a soccer fullback, Belfort turned fanboy when he came across the club’s greatest hero, current executive-director of soccer Zico. Belfort was one of Zico’s athletes back in the day at CFZ club.
Besides shooting the breeze with Flamengo’s players, Belfort took with him team jerseys from his collection to be autographed, and he had the opportunity to watch training for the upcoming game against Corinthians, next Sunday in São Paulo.
Let’s see if Belfort brings them luck.
