At his academy in Los Angeles on the corner of La Brea and Melrose, Xande Ribeiro can be found teaching his students, white to black, on the grey mats nearly any day of the week. Today, GRACIEMAG stopped by to see how he was preparing for the most prestigious Jiu-Jitsu tournament in the world.
Most athletes are mentally preparing, housing visitors from other academies, working out to make weight, training the last details, or perhaps being in solitude. The heavyweight division this year has names like Rodolfo Vieira, Lucas Leite, Roberto Tussa and more. Let Xande himself tell you how he’s prepared and what he expects of his division.
