After Renan Barao suffered an injury that forced him out of his UFC 161 interim bantamweight title defense against Eddie Wineland, the fight has been rescheduled for UFC 165, UFC officials announced yesterday, Wednesday.

Barao and Wineland will co-headline the Pay-Per-View card, which takes place on Sept. 21  in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre.

The 135-pound title fight was originally supposed to take place on June 15 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, but Barao was unable to compete due to an injury he suffered in training.

Barao (30-1, 1 N.C.) is unbeaten in 31 consecutive fights, not losing a match since his professional debut in 2005. The Brazilian fighter won the interim title with a win against Urijah Faber, while the current bantamweight champion, Dominick Cruz, recovers from an injury and two surgeries.

Wineland (20-8-1) is the winner of two consecutive outings, most recently edging Brad Pickett at UFC 155 last December.

UFC 165 is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and challenger Alexander Gustafsson.
