The IBJJF Atlanta Open has always been a very important event for those in the South. With many academies located in the near and surrounding vicinity, the list of athletes floods from the start. And because of this, capacity for the August 31 edition has been reached.
Registration is now closed with the brackets ready to be formed. Situations like this remind us that the early registration discounts are only a portion of the incentive to sign up when registration opens. These days, the capacity for tournaments like the New York Open and Chicago Open reach their limit well before the scheduled deadline.
So if you want to compete in an IBJJF event, don’t wait to sign up because you may miss the chance to participate altogether.
The good news is that spectators are welcome at no charge to watch as the local academies will battle it out on the mats in the Georgia International Convention Center.
Also, the registration is still open for the Atlanta IBJJF Rules Course where you can learn the rules inside and out for competing, coaching and instructing. It will be from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. on Friday, August 30 at Alliance Martial Arts Center: 630 North Shallowford Rd, Dunwoody, Atlanta, GA. For more information, click here. To register, click here.
