Even though Keenan Cornelius had signed up to the European Jiu-Jitsu Championship, the IBJJF tournament that opened the international sport’s season this month, the Black Belt star from Atos BJJ did not compete. In fact, he did not even boarded to go to Lisbon.
The reason was a bruise on his leg, felt in while training at Atos San Diego that prevented him from training hard. But it’s okay, commented his teacher and teammate Andre Galvao: “Keenan got hurt and that’s why he got out of the European. But he’s getting better, and has already begun to prepare for the upcoming tournaments, like Metamoris, Pan and the World, ” Andre said.
Keenan even posted a video on his Facebook, showing a weight training exercise for wrestlers. Seemed like the star didn’t want to talk about the injury: ” I’m not going to Europe this year. My dog ate my ticket”, he joked, before thanking his friends for the votes of affection. ” Thanks for all the votes of confidence, thank you all. For now, I will follow my pancake refining guard”, joked.
