The absolute finalists at the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship have materialized. In a repeat of the final at the 2011 Pan, Rodolfo Vieira and Bernardo Faria will face off in the final. Along the way, Vieira went past stalward competitors like Claudio Calasans, Sérgio Moraes and Marcus Bochecha. Faria relied on his prodigious half-guard and omoplata holds to leave in his wake the dangerous Rafael Lovato and Alexandro Ceconi among others.
The female final has come through as well. Gabrielle Garcia will be shooting for her second absolute world title against Beatriz Mesquita.
