Renzo Gracie’s new opponent has been announced for September’s ADCC in Finland. Sanae Kikuta, an ADCC champion, steps in for Matt Hughes, who was involved in a brutal car wreck.
A judo specialist, Kikuta has been in the UFC, Pride FC and Pancrase. He also won the 88kg title at ADCC 2001, in Abu Dhabi.
Renzo and Kikuta faced off at Pride 2, way back in March 1998. Renzo won that match via guillotine in round 6, after nearly one hour.
The other superfights confirmed so far are André Galvão vs. Claudio Calasans and Chael Sonnen vs. Frank Mir.
