Away from the Octagon since November of last year, when she lost her title to Holly Holm, Ronda Rousey is finally set to return. The former champion will stage her comeback on December 30, at UFC 207 at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas. The bout will be against champion Amanda Nunes for the UFC’s roosterweight title.
This will be the first belt defense by Amanda, who got the title when she beat Miesha Tate at UFC 200 last July. Amanda has a record of 13 wins and 4 losses.
Ronda Rousey, a crossover celebrity and still the biggest name in women’s MMA, was undefeated with 12 wins up until her last match last November — a knockout at the hands of Holly Holm at UFC 193, in Australia.
Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey will fight in UFC 207’s main event. The only other fight announced so far is between former champions Fabrício Werdum and Cain Velasquez.
