Claudio Calasans Jr was the standout at the 2014 Asian Open, held this weekend, in Nagoya.

The Brazilian black belt, who is also a judo black belt, felt right at home in Japan and took double gold in the medium-heavy and the open class divisions.

The absolute final was against ultra-heavy champion Abraham Marte.
