It is with much sadness that Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu reports he has to pull his name out of the Abu Dhabi World Pro due to a knee injury. “I hurt my knee a month ago during a seminar in Boston while rolling with a student,” he says, “Since then I haven’t been able to train properly. I tried to work with physical therapy to get healthy again in time for the tournament, but during training I can see that I am not up for it and won’t be able to go.”
Cyborg says, although he won’t be able to make the trek to Abu Dhabi, he’s already making progress and doing better. “I’m coming back slowly on the mats and Ill be 100% for the Worlds in June.”
