Amaury Bitetti is still working as a coach with a new team in the Brazilian city of Santos alongside Marcelo Nigue. However, he hasn’t put aside work on his event, Bitetti Combat, of which a ninth event is in the works to take place in Rio de Janeiro.
“This time we’re going to have an under-84kg (middleweight) GP to determine the promotional champion of the division. I can already announce the undefeated Bruno Carioca; Julio Cesar, who just won the WOCS GP; Danilo Moto-Serra; and Vitor Nóbrega, an Osvaldo Alves black belt. I’ll be announcing more names and we’re also going to have some superfights,” says Bitetti, who organizes the show in partnership with businessman Fernando Chacur.
The event is planned for June 18 in Rio de Janeiro.
