The Bitetti Combat Cup (BC 9) is set to take place June 18 at Rio de Janeiro’s Botafogo club. The main draw is an under-84kg (middleweight) GP where the fighters will have to win three fights before being crowned champion. Amaury Bitetti – the promoter of the event alongside Fernando Chacur – explains his plans for the season.
“I’m preparing a great show for the end of the year, but first I’m going to sort some of the best fighters in Brazil, to take part in this grandiose card; that’s what we have planned,” he says.
“We have fighters in the GP who’ve been on a roll in Brazil, like the undefeated Bruno Carioca; Shooto champion Carlos Índio; Julio Cesar, who just won the WOCS GP; the experienced Danilo Moto-Serra; not to mention promising up-and-comers like Mateus Serafin, Rafael Macuco, Vitor Nóbrega and Angel Orellana. Besides that, soon we’ll be announcing a superfight,” adds Bitetti.
