A Strikeforce champion and Olympic gold medalist, the black belt Ronda Rousey is on the verge of putting her title strap up for grabs. The undefeated MMA fighter, holding eight wins in eight fights, will have Sarah Kaufuman to contend with come late August. The bout was announced by MMA Fighting. Strikeforce hasn’t yet revealed at which event the showdown will feature.
Ronda put on a judo and Jiu-Jitsu clinic last March when she tapped out Miesha Tate via armbar, thus conquering the bantamweight title. Now Kaufman lost her welterweight belt to Marloes Coenen in 2012; but she’s rattled off three straight wins since then.
