Team CheckMat started the day in mourning this Saturday. One of the team’s black belt teachers, Felippe Porto passed away this Friday.
“It happened at around 9pm in São Paulo. Felippe was returning home from the gym when he suffered a fatal motorcycle accident. ‘Linguiça’ was 29 years old and a 1st-degree black belt under Leo Vieira. He taught at our branch in São Paulo. I have no words to express how I feel,” says Chico Mendes, another of CheckMat’s teachers.
