Yesterday in Rio de Janeiro, the promoters of Copa Pódio held a dinner to introduce the lineup for their maiden event, a professional invitation-only tournament coming up December in Porto Alegre.
Judo world champion João Derly and current absolute world champion of Jiu-Jitsu Rodolfo Vieira were among the high-profile cast to converge on the Tijuca Tennis Club restaurant to find out who faces who in the all-star lightweight GP; with the honor of opening match going to Rio de Janeiro’s GFTeam and São Paulo’s Atos, represented by Denilson Pimenta and Ed Ramos, respectively.
