This Saturday, Gracie Barra black belt Alex Crispim fights for the Cage Combat title in Santa Rosa, California, against local boy Randy Spence (11w, 9l).
Crispim, who is coming off a win at Strikeforce, covets the under145 lbs title and says he’s up to the challenge. “I expect a positive result; I’m even more motivated since the gold medal I won at the 2010 Pan, in the featherweight master division.”
“My opponent’s from California and is a Cesar Gracie student, but I want to take this belt for everyone who has supported me: my friends, my coaches Rob Gibson and Alan Maravilha and all the students at my academies, Crispim BJJ and UFC GYM. Not to mention my wife Michele, of course, who is always by my side!” he says.
