Curitiba Spring Open: Fellipe Andrew shines with quadruple gold

Held at the traditional Tarumã Gymnasium, the IBJJF’s Curitiba Open brought exciting battles in gi and no-gi BJJ to the crowd last weekend.

Fellipe Andrew did a great job representing Zenith, winning double gold in the gi on Saturday and out of the gi on Sunday.

His victorious run began in the gi heavyweight division, where he beat Hygor Silva (Cicero Costha). In the absolute, he beat Admilson Gobi (Lloyd Irvin).

The next day he defeated Lael Rodrigues (Barbosa JJ) in the heavyweight no-gi final, and later beat Felipinho Cesar (Unity) for gold in the absolute. Carina Santi of G13 BJJ bagged double gold in the gi.

The master 2 section witnessed  an impressive performance by Arthur Gogó of GFTeam Cascadura. He bagged a gold medal on Saturday, then came back the next day to secure another two titles in no-gi.
