Erberth Santos is going to Portugal with one goal: to win this year’s IBJJF Grand Slam.
The first step is next week, at the Euros in Odivelas. Amidst his preparation, Santos set aside a bit of time to teach you a transition with a finish.
This maneuver is meant to surprise an opponent who likes locking down the fight on the X-guard. In order to escape the trap, Santos throws his entire body backwards with one big step. With the arm that is left trapped, the Esquadrão de Jiu-Jitsu Brasileiro founder sets up the attack. After sinking the elbow and trapping his opponent’s arm, Santos spins and leaves him dumbfounded at the sneaky omoplata that has materialized.
