Jiu-jitsu saves, and sometimes we get a good example of this in a tournament.
One such example happened at the IBJJF’s British National, held last month. Fighting for the gold medal in the featherweight division, Lee Renault of Carlson Gracie Oxford had to keep calm to free himself from the pressure of a solid triangle applied by Gracie Barra’s Robert Galluccio.
Refusing to give up, Renault not only escaped the triangle, but went on to work hard until he took his opponent’s back and proceeded to fight for room for his hand in order to achieve a choke. Check out this lesson in tenacity below.
