The IBJJF held this Saturday another installment of the BJJ Pro series, in San Diego, Calif.
In the men’s section, which had no absolute division, each final paid out 4,000 dollars to first place and 1,000 to second. In the featherweight division, Gianni Grippo (Alliance) prevailed over Hiago George (Cícero Costha). At middleweight, world champion Otávio Sousa (GB) bested Canuto (GFTeam) for the title. At heavyweight, Patrick Gáudio (GFTeam) defeated Lucas Hulk (Atos). And, in the ultra-heavyweight division, Gutemberg Pereira (GFTeam) came out on top as he beat Gustavo Elias (Ribeiro JJ).
There was 1,500 dollars up for grabs in the women’s open division, and Nathiely de Jesus (Cícero Costha) stepped up to beat Cláudia do Val (De la Riva) and bag the gold.
