GB’s Professor Lucio “Charly Brown” is one of those black belts who likes relishing Jiu-Jitsu in its entirety. Besides the hard training and knowledge he conveys to his students, he enjoys outdoor workouts, eating right and competing whenever possible.
But his forte is in fact teaching, as Lucio demonstrates in this video sent in exclusively to GRACIEMAG.com.
Notice how the instructor easily annuls his student’s spider-guard.
The first step he demonstrates is to break the grip, which he does by circling out his wrist at the 0:50 mark.
Next, Charly bears his knee down on his opponent’s left leg and postures up, which lets him bring the other leg to his thigh (1:02). He then grabs the wrist and attacks the arm.
Like that? Try it out in training next time.
