King Mo is quite a character. The wrestling specialist with fists of steel who put an end to Roger Gracie’s unbeaten record conceded an interview with MMAWeekly.com just after the achievement at Strikeforce 36 last Saturday.
First, Mo replied saying the fight did in fact go according to plan. “In the end my arm was raised, and anyone who thought I’d be terminated can kiss my butt now.”
Next, the reporter wanted to know whether he had any intention of going to the ground with Roger. The reply came as heated as his strikes: “Man, that’s the dumbest question ever. Of course not. But I trained for it, I had to be ready for anything that came up in the fight, and that’s why I trained with Robert Drysdale, Vinicius “Pezão” Magalhães and Bruno Bastos on the ground, with my boy Luke Rockhold [who beat Jacaré].”
