Rodrigo Minotauro put in an appearance on Brazil’s “Globo Esporte” television show yesterday, stating there’s a good chance he will be recovered in time for the August UFC Rio event.
“I’m trying to recover to be ready to fight at UFC Rio on August 27. The biggest martial arts event of them all will finally make its return to Brazil after 14 years, and I’m going to be in it, able and ready. Anderson Silva will be in the main event against Yushin Okami, and I want to do the co-main event,” stated Minotauro, who underwent two surgical procedures on his hips.
His next opponent is likely to be Brendan Schaub (8w, 1).
