UFC middleweight fighte Nick Diaz was arrested last Saturday, Sept. 6, on a suspiciu=ous of driving under the influence, obstructing a police officer, destruction of evidence and driving with a suspended license.
The arrest took place at around 2:00AM in the city of Lodi, California.
The arraignment for Diaz should be within 21 days after his arrest.
Diaz was released the next morning, according to Maynard.
The UFC has already issued a statement on the matter:
“We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering the facts. We understand that there is a legal process that will now take place and that Nick Diaz will have the opportunity to address the situation in the near future.”
Diaz is scheduled to fight Anderson Silva, former UFC middleweight champion, on Jan. 31, 2015, in Las Vegas.
