Two-time world champion Otavio Sousa embarked in a new chapter of his career this Monday, April 6.
At noon, he taught the inaugural class at Gracie Barra Huntington Beach.
The class had the presence of many of GB’s black belts, including Kayron Gracie, Rodrigo Freitas, Flavio Almeida, Orlando Sanchez and others.
The school’s grand opening is schedule for May 23, one week before the 2015 Worlds, when the team will be complete.
On his Instagram page, Otavio commented the emotions of the day: “Very good day for the opening of our school! I had a lot of fun ! Thank you very much everyone who came to celebrate with us on this very special day! I can’t express how happy I am for being able to achieve my dream. Now it’s time for new journey.”
