Pedro Rocha started off the competition season on fire and his training sessions are giving him results each time more. The black belt, for the third time in a row, dominated one more IBJJF competition. This time, at his “backyard”, Pedro became the champion in the heavyweight division, after defeating Benjamin William ( Maromba Academia Internacional ).
This was Pedro’s third title in a row, who had achieved gold medals at Austin Open, double gold at Memphis Open, and now at Dallas Open, all the tournaments are from IBJJF.
” I’m feeling more confident at every competition, I know that all my dedication and my mental game has made the difference in the fights. I was able to perform the way I like, always moving forward!”, tells Pedro.
On his way as a black belt, Pedro holds some titles of Pan Ams and NoGi Brazilian Nationals. Now, the athlete aims at the NoGi Worlds’ gold medal and a place at ADCC 2024.
“I want to make my career at grappling, I see that the opportunity to get well paid is way bigger than at Jiu-Jitsu gi. Nowadays, my competition training is focused on grappling competitions. I will keep working in order to make the opportunities of superfights happen. At Who’s Number One or One Championship, I’m ready to win and give you guys entertainment!”, says Pedro
