Rafael Barata is a long-time competitor for the Gracie Barra banner leading the way for the smaller athletes. He is has medaled at the major tournaments and has recently ventured into the world of MMA. He is an instructor at GMA Gracie Barra New Mexico and has much to offer for knowledge including his very own submission, the ‘Barataplata,’ a concept derived from the omoplata.
