GMA member school Purebred Guam did great at the recent IBJJF Asian Open Championship, in Tokyo.
Team leader Stephen Roberto commented the performance of his pupils:
“The team did incredible. We won 34 medals and finished in 2nd place at the overall team competition. I’m so happy and proud of their accomplishment! We trained so hard for this and it feels great when it pays off!”
Roberto hinself competed and conquered: “I even won the black belt absolute senior 1 division! It was an incredible trip! Jiu-Jitsu is growing at such an incredible rate in Japan. We’re happy we could be a part of it all.”
