A knee injured during his match with Alexandre de Souza at the Rio de Janeiro tryouts for the Abu Dhabi’s World Pro Cup kept Rodolfo Vieira out of all the year’s main events. The GFTeam black belt sat out the World Pro, the Brazilian Nationals and the World Championship.
“I spent two months on ice just doing physiotherapy. The desire to return was so great that I would do physiotherapy twice a day to try and hurry my recovery. I ended up missing all the main events of the season,” he laments.
Back at training again, the fighter has already laid out his objectives for his return to the mat:
“I’ll be at the Rio Open for sure. I’ve been training hard for two weeks and doing physical conditioning. I want to return so badly,” he tells GRACIEMAG.com.
