Black Belt Marcio Feitosa is one of the talking heads of Gracie Barra.
Carlinhos Gracie’s student and three times world champion, the Jiu-Jitsu fighter is an elite guard passer who also shone on the mat without wearing the Gi. He managed to submit many beasts in No-Gi such as the now UFC star Urijah Faber.
In the 2005 ADCC, held in Long Beach, California, Feitosa and Faber measured forces at the quarterfinals of the 66kg weigh category. The fight started fast with the Californian setting the pace on top.
Thus, a strategic detail changed the fight. Marcinho twisted up and stopped in Faber’s back. He stuck the hooks in and grabbed the neck.
Marcio Feitosa got the bronze medal that year.
