The Resorts Casino & Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, was the venue for the May 20 Cage Fury 8 event, and as always there was a Jiu-Jitsu black belt there to put on a show.
With Rolles and Igor Gracie and Rafael Sapo in his corner, Rio de Janeiro native Leonardo “Leleo” Ferreira faced off with the USA’s Amiri Shabazz and took it to him, snagging a snug rear-naked choke 3:49 minutes into the fight. It was Leleo’s professional MMA debut; he teaches at Renzo Gracie Academy NYC.
Next installment of the event it will be Igor Gracie’s turn, on June 10.
