December is a time for celebration, and few celebrations of BJJ rival this one. With the end of the season, schools across the planet hold graduation ceremonies for hard-working students. For Roberto Godói, of G13, their 2017 event had a special flavor.
Twelve hundred athletes from his team moved up in rank this time. Godói offers an explanation for such scale: “‘A good idea and a minimum of ten years of work to reach success.’ In this case, especially, it’s more than a good idea, but rather a passion. And not ten, but thirty years of BJJ to build this family. Congratulations to all students and teachers involved. Year after year, better each time, bigger and more united.”
