With one week to go, the IBJJF has now unveiled the first-round fights for the Pro League Heavyweight GP.
On the left bracket, sitting absolute world champion Marcus Buchecha (Checkmat) takes on Dimitrius Souza (Alliance), who’s been mopping up open tourneys in Brazil recently; and João Gabriel Rocha (Soul Fighters) faces two-time absolute world champion Márcio Pé de Pano (MCBJJ).
The right-hand bracket features the IBJJF’s No. 1-ranked male, Leandro Lo, versus a heavier Ricardo Evangelista (GFTeam), who’s topped the UAEJJF rankings twice; and two-time absolute world champion Xande Ribeiro (Ribeiro JJ) against sitting medium heavyweight world champion André Galvão (Atos).
