This Saturday’s Strikeforce, in Nashville, offers up three title fights. Queried about the opponent to face him in his lightweight-title defense, Gilbert Melendez summed things up well: “Shinya Aoki is number two in the world for a reason: he does crazy things in the ring.”
The skinny Japanese fighter has slick Jiu-Jitsu skills, both sporting a gi and in the MMA ring, which has garnered him wins over such monsters of the division as Gesias Cavalcante, Joachim Hansen and Vitor Shaolin.
