Soa “The Hulk” Palelei will return to the UFC and has signed a four-fight contact with the company, according to a release sent on Monday from his representatives at Paradigm Sports Management.
GracieMag.com confirmed with sources close to the signing that Palelei will likely make his return on the yet-to-be-announced June card in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
“I’m thankful to Dana White and Joe Silva for giving me this opportunity to come back to the UFC to showcase my skills,” Palelei said in the release. “I look forward to competing in the best organization in the world.”
Soa was first with the organization in 2007 for one fight, a loss to Eddie Sanchez at UFC 79. Since then, the heavyweight has gone 10-1 with his only loss coming to Strikeforce Grand Prix winner Daniel Cormier. He is currently on an eight-fight win streak.
No fights have been announced for the card in Winnipeg, but as GracieMag.com reported earlier on Monday, a light heavyweight bout between Dan Henderson and Rashad Evans is in the works for the event.
Stay tuned to GracieMag.com for news on the card as more information becomes available.
