Nine-time roosterweight world champion Bruno Malfacine hasn’t made BJJ history only at the Worlds.
At last year’s IBJJF Pan, before he made the move to MMA, Malfa was brilliant in a quarterfinal match with Chad Lundy. After pulling guard by grabbing the collar in a long-distance shot, he employed a sweep from the De la Riva guard, and before he concluded the reversal, he had already taken Lundy’s arm. Hours later, he won the final.
